Adani Group Unveils Ambitious $9 Billion Green Hydrogen Project in Gujarat

Ahmedabad-based Adani Group is embarking on a groundbreaking initiative with a $9 billion investment in Kutch, Gujarat, to establish infrastructure for a cutting-edge green hydrogen project. This visionary endeavor aims to create 7,500 to 10,000 new jobs and achieve an annual production capacity of one million tonnes of green hydrogen, set to be transported globally via specialized vessels.

The project utilizes advanced anion exchange membrane technology in its electrolyzers, highlighting Adani Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in energy production. Spanning 538 square kilometers, the initiative has already commenced operations, targeting a capacity of 2 gigawatts within its inaugural year.

Chairman Gautam Adani’s unwavering dedication to energy transition is evident in the group’s broader plan, which includes a monumental $100 billion investment in various green energy components such as solar parks, wind farms, electrolyzers, wind turbines, and solar panels. This initiative underscores Adani Group’s pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy on a global scale.
