The Redmi K60 series all use 2K screens

2022 has come to the last week, but the mobile phone market in mainland China is still very lively. After the main brand released Mi 13 and 13 Pro, Redmi also updated its main K product line today. The new K60 series includes three devices: Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60e. They cannot be said to have particularly bright spots in appearance. It is relatively worth mentioning that the K60’s “Sunny Blue” and the Pro version of the “Champion” are Redmi’s first attempts at plain leather. In terms of weight, the three new models are as light as 199g, 201g and 202g respectively, and the thickness is as thin as 8.59mm, 8.59mm and 8.48mm.

This time, the factory equipped both the K60 and K60 Pro with a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED panel made by TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics, with a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. The screen supports 12-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR Vivid, has a 120Hz refresh rate and provides 1,920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. The K60E will use Samsung’s 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED, which also has 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. All three phones have built-in dual speakers and infrared modules. Both the K60 and K60 Pro have NFC and X-axis linear motors, but only the Pro uses an on-screen fingerprint module.

The Redmi K60 is equipped with the previous generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, the Pro model will be upgraded to the latest 8 Gen 2, and the K60e will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200. Among them, the Pro model is equipped with a 5,000mm² VC vapor chamber, and will use the latest LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, while the other two models are a combination of LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1. Both the K60 and K60E use 5,500mAh batteries, both of which support 67W wired charging, and the K60 has an additional 30W wireless charging. The K60 Pro will switch to a smaller 5,000mAh battery, and the wireless is still 30W, but the wired fast charging power can reach 120W.

In the shooting part, both the K60 and K60 Pro have a 16MP selfie camera on the front, and the K60E has a 20MP selfie camera. There are three cameras on the back of the three, and the difference between the rear cameras is concentrated on the main camera. Among them, the K60 uses OmniVision’s 64MP OV64B photoreceptor, and the Pro model will use the 50MP Sony IMX800 module with optical anti-shock support. The K60E chose a 48MP photosensitive element, and the other two cameras are 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro cameras, which are consistent with the other two new models.

Both Redmi K60 and K60 Pro are available in 8+128, 8+256, 12+256, 12+512 and 16+512 configurations, starting at RMB 2,499 and RMB 3,299 respectively. The K60E will have one less 16+512 model, and the price starts at RMB 2,199. In addition to mobile phones, Redmi also brought the Bluetooth 5.3 true wireless headset Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition today. It has a 12mm dynamic unit, IP54 waterproof and 20 hours of comprehensive battery life. The initial price is 139 yuan. There are also Redmi Watch 3 watches and Redmi Band 2, both of which are equipped with 1.75-inch and 1.47-inch screens respectively, and support heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen monitoring and NFC. The watch supports 121 sports modes and GPS, with a battery life of 12 days and a price of 499 RMB. There are more than 30 sports modes of the bracelet, which can be used for up to 14 days, and the initial price is 159 RMB.
