Apple has paused pushing out software updates for its Home app after users began reporting various bugs.exist MacRumors foundsupport pageOn the website, Apple stated that they “temporarily removed the option to upgrade to the new Home architecture” and that the option “will be available again in the near future, and those who have already upgraded will not be affected by this change.”

The upgrade of the Home app was launched on December 13 with iOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1. The main content is to rewrite the HomeKit architecture to make the platform “more reliable and efficient.” However, users who upgraded soon discovered a variety of problems, including certain Siri keywords not working, or smart home devices not appearing in the Home app.

An Apple spokesperson told The Verge that the company has discovered a bug that would prevent users from sharing smart home devices in the Home app. In the process of fixing the bug, the option to upgrade to the new Home architecture will be temporarily removed, and users who have already upgraded will not be affected. However, the unaffected here of course means that it will not be affected by the removal of the option, but bugs and so on still exist-this can only be fixed after Apple releases an update, and users cannot return to the old architecture by themselves.
